Drawing on the theories and , the study explores key developmental concepts, including identity formation, cognitive maturation, emotional regulation, and the influence of social and cultural environments. It further analyzes the ways in which literary texts portray these psychological dimensions through adolescent characters whose experiences embody the challenges of self-discovery, interpersonal conflict, and the transition to adulthood. By integrating psychological theory with literary analysis, the article demonstrates that literary representation not only reflects established psychological principles but also provides a deeper understanding of adolescent experiences that may extend beyond empirical observation. The findings suggest that an interdisciplinary approach enriches both developmental psychology and literary criticism by offering a more comprehensive interpretation of adolescent identity, behavior, and emotional growth. Ultimately, the study emphasizes that literature serves as a powerful medium for understanding the complexities of adolescence and highlights the continuing relevance of psychological theory in the interpretation of literary texts.
