Abstract
This article analyzes the features of proper nouns functioning within phraseological units of the Uzbek language. It examines how anthroponyms, toponyms and other types of proper names participate in forming phraseological meaning, the mechanism of their semantic reinterpretation, and their national-cultural semantics, illustrated with concrete examples.
