THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TOOLS IN ENHANCING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Abstract

This article examines the role of digital tools in enhancing English language learning in modern educational settings, with particular attention to vocational and technical education. The increasing use of digital technologies has created new opportunities for learners to develop their language skills through interactive, flexible, and accessible learning environments. Digital platforms, multimedia resources, mobile applications, online dictionaries, educational videos, electronic texts, and communication tools can support the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The article discusses the educational benefits of digital tools, their application in classroom activities, their influence on learner motivation and autonomy, and their potential contribution to individualised learning. Particular attention is given to the use of technology in technical colleges, where English learning can be connected with students’ professional interests and future occupations.
